Services
Hardshell Technologies provides cybersecurity audits, threat remediation, compliance readiness and security awareness training to small businesses. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline and cost of any engagement will be defined in a separate written agreement or statement of work signed by both parties before work begins.
Insurance
Hardshell Technologies carries both cyber liability insurance and general liability insurance. This coverage is maintained to protect our clients and our business in the event of an unexpected incident arising from our work. Details of our coverage are available upon request.
No Guarantee of Results
While we apply professional expertise and industry-standard methodologies to every engagement, no cybersecurity provider can guarantee that a system will be completely free from vulnerabilities or that a breach will never occur. Our work reduces risk. It does not eliminate it entirely. Hardshell Technologies is not liable for any security incidents that occur after our engagement has concluded.
Client Responsibilities
To perform our work effectively, clients agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information about their systems and environment
- Grant necessary access to systems, networks and devices within the agreed scope
- Implement remediation recommendations in a reasonable timeframe
- Notify Hardshell Technologies of any material changes to their environment during an active engagement
Confidentiality
All findings, reports and information exchanged during an engagement are treated as confidential by Hardshell Technologies. We do not share client information with third parties without written consent, except where required by law. Clients are encouraged to execute a mutual NDA before work begins. Intellectual Property
Any reports, documentation or written deliverables produced by Hardshell Technologies during an engagement are provided for the client's internal use. Clients may not resell, redistribute or publish these materials without written consent from Hardshell Technologies.
Payment
Payment terms will be outlined in the individual statement of work for each engagement. Unpaid balances past the agreed due date may result in suspension of services.
Limitation of Liability
Hardshell Technologies' total liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by the client for the specific engagement giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages of any kind.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Maryland.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
